This section defines how the navigation of your project functions. The main choice of an dynamic or static navigation is made with the layout type choice in the Layout section. The settings you make in the Navigation section control how the layout that you have chosen behaves when the user interacts with it.

Most of the settings in this section should be self-explanatory. You can find detailed descriptions of all the settings in Navigation in the Project Properties section.

Settings moved to the Layout section:

In earlier versions of Help & Manual 4 the choice between a dynamic and static TOC (Table of Contents) was made with check boxes in the Navigation section. This choice is now made by selecting a layout option in the Layout section:

"No frames, no scripts" replaces the option "Simple HTML pages"
"Two frames" replaces "Dynamic HTML with navigation"
